COVID-19 Action Plan

Updated 12th January, 2021

Physiotherapy services are now able to operate as normal in metro Melbourne.  Patients are allowed to attend for face to face consultation for all conditions, and Telehealth video or phone consultations are still available if desired.  We want you to know that you can continue to rely on us.  So the next time we have the provledge of welcoming you into our practice, you can rest assured that our commitment to your health and wellbeing remains our highest priority.

Attending For Face To Face Consultations

Please do not attend the clinic if you have ANY cold or flu symptoms, including fever, cough, sore throat, runny / stuffy nose, fatigue, shortness of breath, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or you are a close contact of someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

Late cancellation fees will be waived if you develop symptoms within the late cancellation period. We put it out there that this is a trust system, and not all cancellations are “cold and flu” related. Please let reception know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your appointment so that we can amend your booking.

Patients are required to wear a face mask when inside the practice, if they are medically able to do so.

Our Strict Hygiene and Safety Measures

At Women’s & Men’s Health Physiotherapy the health and well-being of our patients, staff & community is our number one priority, and we are closely monitoring the DHHS recommendations for service provision in health care.

In addition to our already strict hygiene and safety procedures, the following measures are in place:

- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment during all appointments

Physiotherapists will be wearing level 1 surgical masks

- All patients and staff are screened for symptoms of COVID-19, or diagnosis / exposure to COVID 19.

- Hand sanitisation stations are present at the entry into our reception areas, and there is ample access to hand sanitiser throughout the practice.

- We are maintaining social distancing requirements in all common areas of the practice.

- Protective sneeze screens exist in all reception areas.

- Thorough, frequent cleaning occurs in all high touch areas with hospital grade disinfectant, including reception surfaces, door handles and treatment areas.

Whilst we remain open for face to face consultations, we are also offering an extensive Telehealth service via secure video link or telephone call. Please visit our page on Telehealth for more information on this option.
